Kasia Sobiesiak - The Wine Front
Spicy and meaty, allspice, bay leaf, peppermint, rock dust tannin, black coffee, amaro, sage extract and cherry, medicinal feel plus iodine, making it super savoury to taste, dense and bitter. All in a good way.
Neal Martin - Vinous
The 2022 Beaune Les Cents Vignes 1er Cru is a vineyard that became quite stressed during the dry summer months. The bouquet offers blackberry and raspberry, with touches of graphite coming through with aeration, quite backward. The palate is medium-bodied with chalky tannins but feels slightly lean on the mid-palate and dry on the finish. Jury's out on this one.
