A sprightly and fruit-pure, single-vineyard grenache that shows ripe plum and red berry fruits cut with gingery spice and hints of violets, roasting meats, sarsaparilla, earth and pressed flowers. Some nice exotic spice flows in on the palate, while furry, fine tannins support the fruit, and there is a rush of sour cherry on the exit, finishing fruit-pure and long.

A ruby-colored, poised and lively grenache, with aromas of strawberries, raspberries, wild herbs and baking spices. It's medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins. Plenty of drive here, with a juicy, crunchy mid-palate. Seductive fruit with a lively, bright and dynamic finish.

Campbell Mattinson - The Wine Front

Grown on a (single) vineyard at Seppeltsfield. It’s not over-oaked and it’s not overripe, and that’s a very good start. Black cherry, roasted meat, woodsmoke and clove characters come with subtle licks of cedar and cream. It’s a distinctive wine, medium in weight, with well-integrated, fine-grained tannin and gently rounded shoulders. It’s a wine of finesse and indeed of some sophistication.

The 2021 Righteous Grenache leads with blackberry and raspberry jam, aniseed, dark chocolate and blood plum. On the palate, the wine leads with a powerful flow of flavor across the palate, and this is supported all the way by chunky, robust tannin. It is moderately long, but going full tilt all the time, foot to the floor from start to finish. 14.5% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.
