Product Highlights

Chianti Classico isn’t just a wine region, it’s the beating heart of Tuscany, and the Mazzei family has been part of its story for centuries.

Back in 1398, their ancestor, Ser Lapo Mazzei, was the first to put the name Chianti in writing, and the family has been shaping the region ever since.

For 24 generations, the Mazzei family has called Fonterutoli Estate home. This historic vineyard, acquired in 1435, has played a huge role in putting Chianti Classico on the world map.

This Chianti Classico is everything we love about Tuscan reds, deeply rooted in tradition, yet vibrant and expressive. A blend of 90% Sangiovese, 5% Malvasia Nera, and 5% Colorino, it strikes the perfect balance between bold fruit, aromatic lift, and structure.

James Suckling was impressed, awarding it 93 points for its lively raspberries, dark cherries, and baking spice, wrapped in a velvety texture. Decanter’s Michaela Morris also gave it 93 points, praising its pure fruit and firm tannins, while Antonio Galloni (Vinous) called it pliant and expressive, rating it 91 points.
