Only 25 dozen produced, from a vineyard planted in 1997. Menglers Hill, bush vines, sitting at a lofty 525 metres above sea level. Quite exotic and perfumed, spice, strawberry and raspberry, a little sage and thyme, with something of a nutty character. It’s medium-bodied, not a big wine, and really quite pretty, with red fruits and pepper, Parma ham and grilled peach, with a cool spicy finish of excellent length. Delicate and delightful. A expertly crafted Eden Valley grenache with anise, rose and blood orange aromas. At once ripe and delicate on the medium- to full-bodied palate where the fine tannins beautifully counterpoint the ripeness. Drink or hold.

Tasting Notes
Destemmed and tipped into a tonne fermenter. Gentle pump over and slow extraction until full dryness. Only the free run was placed into a 3 year old French oak barrel. Soft palate with extremely precise and thin tannins that caress and carry on the freshness and intensity.
