Jeff Porter - Wine Enthusiast
A bouquet of purple flowers and ripe, juicy cherries greet the nose as warmed rose petals, thyme, and wild berry compote dusted with spices tickle the senses. Anise, bitter orange, hazelnut skin, and dried leaves add intrigue, while soft, pliant tannins make it irresistible. Drink now, while it's as inviting as a cozy blanket.

Ruby red with some brightening on the rim. Spicy nose, lots of black pepper and nutmeg, notes of sour cherries and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, more fruit, lively, youthful, with tight tannins, a dancing acidity, animated, with a mouthwatering finish.Reviewers: Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler

Gary Walsh - The Wine Front
Well here’s a winery that’s kind of a new one, though Starderi is maybe one of the grand crus of Neive. The pricing here, I feel, is somewhat aspirational, Lots of biscuit spice, cherry, aniseed, a little earthiness. It’s medium bodied, coconut and nougat oak, sweet grainy tannin, ginger and strawberry, pretty smooth and supple, but gee that oak gets in the way of the vineyard character, and it would be so much better with less of that winemaking artifice. Finishes with nougat and coconut, and while the quality of the fruit is excellent, this seems made for people who have a different view on Barbaresco.
Aldo Fiordelli - Decanter
The rich red cherry is allied to the freshness of strawberry and pomegranate, with macerated rose and violets, and a finish of straw and liquorice stick. It doesn't come across as overripe but mostly focused on a fruity style with moderate acid and almost silky, very soft tannins. Starderi is the riper southwest-exposed MGA from Mura Mura.
