This is complex and deep with red plums, wild berry bush, chocolate and tree bark. Full and very fine tannins that are compact and evenly distributed across the palate, and give the wine viscous and taut structure. Long and complex with a solid fruit core underneath. Try after 2026.

Aldo Fiordelli - Decanter

From a single plot in Rocche dell'Annunziata, this Barolo ages for 18 months in big oak vessels. On the nose there's a smoky-graphite character with intoxicating mint and violet scents, some milkiness in depth and a lot of delicacy. Refined, polished tannins dominate the palate, with integrated oak, red currants, brilliant acidity and a bright fruit finish. A slightly modern Barolo, but classic Annunziata. One for the long haul due to the freshness and the elegance of the tannins.

Falstaff

Bright ruby red, subtle brightening on the rim. On the nose sour cherry, some cold smoke, behind it black pepper and some cardamom. Substantial flow, builds up subtle drive, gripping tannin structure, refreshing acidity, persistent mouthwatering finish.
