Splendidly fruited and fragrant on the nose, showing blackcurrant, ripe cherry, dried herb and cedar characters. The beautifully weighted palate displays fine flow and persistency, wonderfully supported by beautifully infused tannins. Long and structured with elegant complexity.

A fine suite of aromas, from pimentos, red currants, blackcurrants and dried sage. Yet the tannins are becoming grating as bottle age takes its toll. This is certainly enjoyable, but I wouldn't wait too long. It’s beginning to dry out.

In a generous vintage, this looks stern. Fragrant though with cassis and mulberries, cloves and cedary oak. The aromas don't translate well to flavours on the palate. Sinewy tannins and brusque. It might just be youth, so give this time.
