A definitive, glorious Eden Valley riesling now beginning to show the benefits of genuine bottle-age. Moving into a pale-ish golden green, its heady perfume of white flowers, lime and lemon reveals some buttery, toasty and honeyed development, with suggestions of waxiness, smoke and mineral. Superbly long and focused, its round and fleshy core of vibrant fruit extends down a fine chalky undercarriage towards a mouthwatering, steely finish that's perfectly dry, mouthwatering and even a shade saline. Enough to set me off to Pambula for a bag of oysters...
