Brane Cantenac, an emblem of excellence Founded in the 18th century under the name of Gorce, this property located on the best gravelly hillside of Cantenac was already considered as one of the best Second Growths of the Médoc before the 1855 classification. Baron de Brane , the name of the second wine, pays hommage to the famous Baron Jacques-Maxime de Brane, the ’Napoléon des Vignes’, owner of the property in the 19th Century. Since his arrival, in 1992, Henri has endeavored to give each vintage of this great Margaux the brilliance and complexity that its exceptional terroir gives it, always seeking a balance between the intrinsic quality of the vintage and the elegance of the wine.
