A deep, ruby red color. The nose is filled with intense aromas of cherry, ripe plum, smoky oak and subtle hints of spice. On the palate, there are layers of ripe fruit, dark berries, sweet vanilla, and dark chocolate that are balanced with soft tannins and a long, lingering finish.

Immensely complex and fragrant, the bouquet is filled with dark fruit richness, charcuterie, spicy oak and mocha characters, leading to a concentrated palate offering plush mouthfeel backed by bold tannins, finishing lingering and sturdy.

A marvelous example of Coonawarra Shiraz. It’s powerful, yet so beautifully refined. Deeply concentrated spicy dark fruit characters burst from the glass. It’s a plush and generously appointed wine of tremendous poise. The mix of French and American oak has been used perfectly, contributing to a wine that retains its life and energy through to a very long finish.

Reviews
2015 Magarey Lane shiraz
"Not a bad wine. About the right price at the mystery wine discounted price but I wouldn't pay any more. The fruit was a little flatter than I hoped given reviews. Bit of dark berry maybe. It didn't stand up to the Clarendon Hills Astralis ,2012 Penfolds Bin 150 or 2014 Bass Phillip Pinot Noir on the day but eminently drinkable."

Mystery Coonawarra Shiraz deal 53
"One of the best mystery wines ever purchased: Beautifully balanced generous fruit with just enough tannins to give a long finish without a hint of tartness. Have placed my second order"

Absolutely amazing.
"Under cork but the cork had hardly been touched. The wine was deep red and incredibly smooth. One the best wines I have had for a long time and at such a fantastic price. Loving it."

The best
"This is the best, smoothest shiraz I have ever bought. It is priced a little higher than I aim for (usually between $17 and $21) but at nearly $26 it is manageable, yet worth every penny."
