Incredibly dense nose of cocoa powder and savory notes. Hard to imagine how a red wine could be more delicious than this beauty, which glides effortlessly over your palate. In spite of all the richness, this is filigree, subtle and gentle. Château Quintus vertical tasting. SP.
Such a beautiful and complex nose of rose petals, dark fruit and sandalwood. Full-bodied, juicy and flavorful. A precise linear edge to this runs through the wine. Very fine tannins. Yet this is so powerful. Love it. Drink in 2022 and forward.
Crazy aromas of saffron, volcanic salt, hot stone, mushrooms, and wet earth. Then blueberry and blackberry undertones. Full body, super compressed and refined tannins. Powerful. Seamless and endless. 76% merlot and the rest cabernet franc.

93–95. Barrel Sample. Big, bold and juicy, this is a step up from previous vintages of this wine, owned by Haut-Brion. It has ripe tannins and concentration with spice and broad acidity. Black fruits go with the red fruit flavors to give a rich, generous wine.

Dark ruby, purple reflections, subtle brightening on the rim, a bit restrained at first, hints of dark berries, some liquorice, blackberries, fine spicy touch. Juicy, good fruit, elegant tannins, finesse and fresh, pleasant sweet cherry fruit, mineral and good persistence.
Rich and concentrated, with a wave of ganache out front, followed by warmed plum, fig and blackberry confiture flavors. Shows hints of loam and chalk through the finish, with good integration.

Dark and dense, this wine has good aging potential, with black fruits as well as a dry core of tannins. Minerality shows through in the texture of the wine. It is rich and generous, reflecting the vintage. Drink from 2024.
The best yet from this newly created, Haut-Brion-owned estate (first vintage 2011). Full and fragrant with plenty of depth. Smooth, fresh and well defined, the palate showing greater precision.
