Vivid green, tinged with gold; from a '70 vineyard, this is a beautiful wine; ripe, but not the least overripe, lime/lemon fruit leaps from the glass as it is raised, then fills the palate to a remarkable degree right now; most will be consumed long before it reaches its prime.

Bright, gleaming green-straw; has that extra degree of precision that Polish Hill River seems to always confer, and an intensity that is light on its feet; the slatey acidity is yet another marker that comes through strongly in this lime and lemon-accented wine thanks to extremely low pH.

If you’re a riesling drinker, I’d suggest this release from the famed Polish Hill River sub-region of the Clare Valley is a wine you should be buying/drinking. I like everything about this wine. Light yellow; slightly forward in colour and bouquet, with mineral and dried herb aromas, and a whiff of lemon. The palate is rich and deeply flavoured with a clean, dry, lingering finish and good balance. Slight grip on the finish. Fairly straightforward but good.
