Bright red.  Vibrant, spicy strawberry and redcurrant on the nose, with a bright kick of minty white pepper.  Pure and precise, with nicely delineated red berry flavors braced by zippy acidity.  Gains weight with air, picking up a sweet, jammy quality and finishing with rising tannins, excellent length and sneaky concentration.  Le Boscq's vines grow on very high-quality soils of stones over limestone and clay.
