Rolf Binder

The Binder family’s Barossan roots now date back generations, having first been kicked into gear by Rolf Binder senior back in the 1950s. Now, Rolf’s children - Rolf Binder jr & sister Christa Deans are steering the ship and crafting the sort of wonderfully Barossan wines that you can’t help but love. With over 250 acres spread throughout the Barossa & Eden Valleys, Rolf & Christa have access to an enviable volume of fruit with vines dating back to the 1880s.

The specialities here are classic Barossan red wines, with a special focus on Grenache, Mataro and Shiraz. A larger-than-life character, Rolf's popularity is widespread with his fans including none other than Robert Parker, who describes Rolf's wines as 'never excessively oaked (and) possess(ing) extraordinary ripe, concentrated fruit'.
