Tasting Notes

Kreda is a single-vineyard Refosco from De Stefani's Le Ronche estate. The vineyard's name comes from the Venetian dialect word for clay, reflecting the heavy clay soils that nourish the vines slowly and steadily and contribute to the wine's structure and depth. The 2021 vintage is deeply coloured and intensely aromatic, showing ripe dark fruit, plum, violet and subtle spice. Full-bodied and powerful, it combines firm structure with layers of velvety tannin and developing tertiary complexity, while retaining the distinctive character of Refosco. A serious food wine, particularly suited to risotto, roast meats and lamb.
