Disznókő Tokaji Aszú 5 Puttonyos 500ml 2017

95 POINTS

James Suckling

A beautiful nose of dried persimmons, dried apricots, white lavender, mild spices and stones. Some attractive botrytis character coming through. Full and creamy on the palate, with a very fine texture, impressive fruit concentration and balance sweetness. Long and delicious.

Neal Martin - Vinous

The 2017 Tokaji Aszú 5 Puttonyos undergoes a two-day skin contact, a long pressing and is aged for two years in 225-litre barrels. It has a well-defined bouquet with dried honey, quince, white chocolate and almond aromas. The palate is well balanced with a viscous entry. This is a lighter style of sweet Tokaji, showing fine tension with a dab of stem ginger and white pepper towards the finish. Drink over the next eight to ten years.
