The foundation of its loyal following was forged by visionary founder and winemaker Rose Kentish in the late 1990s. An intuitive pioneer, Rose split her winemaking life between crafting powerful McLaren Vale reds and conjuring elegant Provençal rosés and rare Corsican wines. That old-world finesse, seamlessly woven into the sheer intensity and power of McLaren Vale fruit, became the Ulithorne signature.

It's a philosophy carefully preserved by the current winemaking team, with an uncompromising commitment to elite, small-batch winemaking.

Ulithorne's terraced, ocean-facing vineyards sit high on the ancient sands of Blewitt Springs, where maritime winds cool the old, 1950s-planted vines, encouraging slow ripening, natural acidity and remarkable flavour concentration.

And production? A tiny 2,500 dozen bottles annually across the entire estate. That's it.

With a 5-Star Halliday rating, a staggering collection of show medals and an international cult following, Ulithorne has earned its place among McLaren Vale's most revered producers.
