“Every time I try a modern Australian style of dry, flinty wonderful Rosé, I could almost be at the beach. It doesn't get much better than that." - Julian Langworthy | Deepwoods Estate

My moment starts in Southern Provence. The cool mistral winds sweep down the lavender covered hills to the seaside. Back home, the sounds of the gulls, the kids swimming and a dry glass of pale salmon Rosé, remind me of how uncomplicated good wine can be. It takes me back to Provence every time.

Julian Langworthy

CHIEF WINEMAKER AND GENERAL MANAGER - DEEPWOOD ESTATE AND NOCTURNE WINES

Julian is regarded as one of the most talented winemakers in Australia with awards such as James Halliday's Winemaker of the Year, a Jimmy Watson Trophy winner, Ray Jordan's Winemaker of the Year, and a Wine Society Young Winemaker of the Year nominee. His impressive career has included vintages in France and Canada, as well as senior winemaking roles in the Barossa Valley, Clare Valley and Coonawarra.

Julian is passionate about producing regionally distinctive wines, and is indisputably making some of the best rose coming out of Australia. In the Margaret River and throughout Australia, he is synonymous with all things pink and see-through. There is a rosé trophy at the Margaret River Wine Show where the winner gets a pink jacket.
