Tasting Notes

Medium copper-brown appearance. Sweeter notes of caramel and corn lift from the glass, with delicate cedar notes and pecan nut tones sit underneath. The palate shows an elegant array of citrus, caramel and peppery spice. Through the mid-palate, the citrus drops away and the caramel and spice come to the fore, intermingled with a touch of dry, vanilla oak. The caramel tones persist through the finish, with lighter notes of citrus and spicy oak lingering.

Product Highlights

In 1936, 3 years after the repeal of prohibition, Thompson Willett founded the Willett Distillery, with the first barrel going into storage the following year. Today the tradition continues, with the Willett Family producing handcrafted Kentucky Straight Bourbon using time honoured methods in the art of distillation. They use only limestone-filtered spring water, carefully selected grains and secret strains of yeast to perfect the mash, which is then distilled in the original copper pot-still. Aged in new white oak casks until fully mature and then bottled by hand, and hand numbered, in a beautiful pot still shaped bottle. This is a special bourbon.
