Vedrenne Marc des Hospices de Beaune is a French pomace brandy from Burgundy. A pomace brandy is a spirit similar to grappa. The Vedrenne brand is committed to the highest quality controls and works exclusively with producers who practice organic farming. This ensures that the grape residue is also of the best quality. It all comes from the Côte de Nuit and Côte de Beaune sites, which are considered the most prestigious in the wine-growing region. First, the grape must is pressed, fermented and then distilled. Distillation follows the most modern standards and guarantees products of consistently high quality. After distillation, the brandy is allowed to mature in selected oak barrels. This production step is very costly and confirms the high quality of Vedrenne's pomace brandy. The maturation phase is also unusually long, lasting ten years.
