The bouquet is intense with cold tea, malt extract topaque characters, richly fruity and showing some aged complexity, but the fruit is very much uppermost. Its very sweet indeed, almost too sweet, the finish and aftertaste more about sweetness than anything else. Very good wine, all the same.

(500ml) Medium to full amber/tawny colour with a strong yellow rim, the bouquet very sweet and malty, emphasising fruit rather than great aged character. The malt-extract flavour is even stronger in the mouth, where it has a lot of sweetness and a lighter palate weight that indicates it's quite a young blend. Slight alcohol afterburn. As a young topaque, it is delicious. It would make a great ice-cream topping.
