Just a little barrel fermentation has transformed this from the normal fruit-bomb style into a wine of sophistication and style, while still allowing the punchy savvy fruit to display its virtues. Typical characters of passionfruit, gooseberry and a little snow pea are lifted with a little of the lemony oak influence. A really attractive wine to drink while it is still fresh, but which can handle a little cellaring time.

The 2023 Sauvignon Blanc leads with juniper and cassis bramble, fresh (warm in the sun) lawn clippings, snow peas, jasmine and Granny Smith apples. In the mouth, the wine is energetic, layered, thirst-quenching and delicious. It's a ripping wine, really brilliant. It's great to see complexity, classy handling and beautiful fruit in this price category. Happy! This was tasted blind as part of the "Value for Money" tasting in September 2023. RRP $25 AUD.

It oscillates between showy and bright with varietal flavours of snow peas, lemon balm, lemon-lime juice and passionfruit pith. A neat slip of texture with some creamy lees and slightly sticky phenolics, making this a wine best enjoyed with food.
