Fragrant with a blue violet lift and summer pudding of mixed berry fruits. The palate has a light touch yet is soft and plush, a faintest smokey grip from the use of stalks bringing some structure and drive to the finish. These varieties complement each other beautifully with the perfume, silk and spice of the Pinot sitting comfortably with the underlying structure of the cool climate Shiraz.

This is 60/40% pinot (whole-berry ferment)/shiraz (100% whole bunches) blended prior to bottling. A vibrant crimson purple. Uber aromatic with its aromas of bright red fruits, musk and floral notes. Loads of flavour and a touch of grip on the delicious, medium-bodied and impeccably balanced palate. Approachable now but no problems cellaring this either over the next 3–5 years.

Hard to put this one down, unless it is to pour another glass. Love every part of this thoroughly delicious wine. A blend of Pinot and Shiraz, it’s light bodied with a perfume highly scented aroma singing an exquisite tune from the glass. The fruit has a slightly juicy feel with the use of stalks in the making providing structure definition. Supremely balanced and just fun to drink. Love it.

The 2024 Light Dry Red Pinot Shiraz is often one of my favourite wines in the Yarra Yering release, as it seems to provide the best of both worlds: the plush density of Syrah, with the silky red fruited nature of Pinot Noir. On the nose, this vintage shows rose petals and musk sticks, layers of red berries, a gentle grip of earthy tannin and layers of red berries. Supple, vibrant and exciting, I do love this wine. This year, the 100% whole-bunch component is sticking out a little more than last, built within the pliable frame. This pretty wine is a blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Syrah. 13.5% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.

Trim, taut and terrific would be the general summary of this juicy, aromatic wine though it needs to be noted from the outset that the influence of whole bunches is pretty clear here. Nuts, herbs, cola and tonic characters run through cherries red and black, plums and peppercorns. It’s complex in a polished way; it’s out and out delicious, if you’re of a savoury frame of mind. Ultimately though it’s the finesse of this wine that is its strongest point. I’d expect that this will mature beautifully into the medium term and longer.

Brightly perfumed, fresh and lively, with pristine scents of cherries, raspberries, redcurrants and a faintly herbal whiff of cracked pepper, this medium to light-bodied red presents a pleasing length of fresh, perfectly ripened small berry/cherry fruit underpinned by a powdery spine of fine, crunchy tannins. It's refreshingly clean and and lively, finishing with a pleasing length of fruit, flavour ,a lingering note of red licorice and a refreshing acidity.
