A mix of clones. 10% new oak, 20% mlf. Brightly coloured. Aromas of stone fruits, orange blossom and a hint of spice. The palate is flavoursome, balanced and gently saline. An excellent version of this affordably priced wine. Drink now and over the next 3–4 years.

Toolangi. Such a great word. It would have been a wonderful name for an Australian car. I love my Ford Toolangi. Them were the days. Don’t get me started on Ford Ranger drivers. Gee, I hate them with a passion. Tailgaiting maniacs in slow cumbersome and dangerous heavy vehicles. YUK. I drive an Alfa Romeo, though back in the day I had a 1979 2.0L Ford Escort Ghia (wood trim!), and gee, that car was a wild ride. Lots of power, but terrible brakes. I kind of dream about buying one again, though they are very expensive now.
Tasty wine offering a good volume of flavour. Yellow peach, grapefruit, cedar, aniseed/mint, a lick of spice. It’s juicy, some lemon zest in with stone fruit and citrus, a fair bit of tang and energy, some flinty bits, and a finish of good length. This is an excellent Chardonnay and it has a certain strike and electric appeal. Lovely.
