Exquisitely floral and perfumed, this wine shows attractive bright red fruit and cherry aromatics. The wonderfully structured palate features sumptuous depth of fruit, subtle brown spice and velvety tannins, with a lovely acidity providing both drink now and long-term cellaring opportunities.

Emma Jenkins MW - Decanter
An attractive nose of black cherry, blackberry jam and spice, lifted with redder fruit and floral notes. The palate is supple and fruit-rich with good carry and fine, powdery tannins that give a firm, elegant frame. Lovely mid-palate flow and good build and, given the excellent year, this will certainly benefit from further time in bottle. An equal blend of fruit from Peregrine’s Bendigo and Pisa vineyards. Established in 1998, the family-owned estate’s striking Gibbston winery emulates the shape of a falcon’s wing. Organic.

Dave Brookes - Halliday Wine Companion
A delightful pinot noir that features 18% whole bunch and is matured for 11 months in French oak, 22% new. Mid-ruby with bright red and dark cherry, wild strawberry and red plum fruits along with hints of medina spice, powdered schist, red apple skin, pomegranate, leaf litter and crushed rocks. Vibrant and purely fruited, there’s some light biscuity oak in there too, but it matches the fruit weight nicely, the tannins are fine and schisty, and there’s a vivid mineral aspect to the acidity.

Gary Walsh - The Wine Front
A little whole bunch and around 20% new oak. Dark cherry, cocoa, thyme, a little rhubarb, boot polish, and dried flower perfume. Medium-bodied, quite plush, lots of plum and cherry, a spicy note with some orange peel bitterness, sooty tannin grip, with a choc-nut finish of good length. It’s a robust style, though it does deliver plenty of flavour. Good.

Sliced strawberries, dried herbs and a touch of rhubarb on the nose. The palate is medium-bodied with delicate, delineated fruit and a pleasant, fruity finish.
Erin Larkin - Robert Parker Wine Advocate
The 2023 Pinot Noir hails from two vineyards, in Bendigo and Pisa. Aromatically, the wine leads with game and roasted cherries, autumn leaves and tapenade. In the mouth, the wine is structured and savory, with pronounced acidity and drying tannins that shape the finish. 13.5% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.
2025 - Decanter World Wine Awards
Savoury, wild flower and black cherry bouquet with a rugged, spicy oak component and firm tannic grip. Good potential here. Award: Bronze - DWWA 2025
