A pleasant lighter style shiraz
"A pleasant lighter style shiraz from Barossa exhibiting the usual fine berries , chocolate and spices."
When it comes to Shiraz, winning at the Barossa Wine Show is as big as it gets.
This mystery Shiraz just took out Best 2023 Shiraz at the show where Barossa royalty are judged by some of Australia’s sharpest palates.
Storming ahead of the competition with a 96-point, trophy-winning run, this result was no fluke. The judging panel was chaired by Adam Walls, one of Australia’s top wine judges and a Len Evans Tutorial Dux – an accolade reserved for the very best in the business.
This is the first time we’ve ever offered this Shiraz. In fact, it’s the first vintage ever made by this timeless, globally recognised Barossa legend. And what a way to start.
You can feel the luxury in the glass. It’s packed with A-grade fruit from some of the best Barossa parishes. Forest fruits lead the way, backed by spice, citrus blossom, quince paste, red liquorice, milk chocolate, vanillin oak and earth. It’s Barossa 2.0 – a modern style, full of fruit with a smooth, long finish.
