This is such a brilliant, pure, and vibrant Riesling from the Eden Valley. There is a slaty mineral quartz aroma with other notes of lime and lemon. The palate shows the beautiful characters of this region to perfection with a lemon flavour and minerally, chalky acidity lifted through to a long finish. High class stuff here.

Pale with a flash of green. The aromatic profile is initially pretty tight before it reveals freshly squeezed lime and Bickford's cordial tones along with hints of Christmas lily and clover blossom, lemongrass, crushed quartz, lime zest, green apple sorbet and a whiff of makrut lime. Tight and steely-pure with a fine, vivid, minerally cadence, impressive tension and a bone-dry, savoury exit with just an ache of umami. Super stuff.

The 2023 Wonderland of the Eden Valley Riesling is savory and textured, with a leesy mid-palate that speaks of cheesecloth, citrus rind, crushed quartz and an aspirin-like acid line. It's quite a powerful, focused wine, coiled and tightly wound, steely/austere and very long, through the finish. The way this is structured suggests it is a wine to cellar, more than it is a wine to drink now. 11.6% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.

Citrus, lemongrass, brown limes, jasmine, just a hint of beeswax and hay. Then green apples and peaches, peach blossom. Very lean, very acidic and restrained. Finishes on yellow grapefruit and real tongue-twisting sourness. Must be a great seafood companion. Kinda simple, kinda classic.
