The 2023 Chablis 1er Cru Montmains delivers aromas of lime, white peach, dried flowers and subtle marine inflections reminiscent of oyster liquor. On the palate, it’s medium- to full-bodied, taut and chiseled, with a crisp core of fruit and ample structuring chalky extract, mouthwatering acids and a long, saline finish that underscores the wine’s classical Chablisien profile. It’s built on somewhat tauter, finer bones than Fourchaume.
