Tasting Notes

Pinot noir sourced from the Coal River and Derwent valleys in Tasmania and the Upper Yarra Valley in Victoria. Bright ruby with ripe dark and red cherry fruits, raspberry coulis and wild strawberry with hints of leaf litter, spice, softly spoken vanillin oak, char siu, mushroom broth, amaro herbs and wildflowers. Graceful and pure with excellent tension between fruit and mineral acidity, fading off slowly in a fan of spiced red fruits.

Product Highlights

From the best parcels out of Tasmania and Yarra Valley . This Pinot Noir is top shelf. Elegant, refined  with bright red fruit and savoury complexity rather than heavy, powerful styles. It offers layers of cherry, raspberry and subtle spice with earthy undertones, silky tannins and fresh acidity. Its balance, finesse and long, smooth finish make it an excellent choice for relaxed dinners, entertaining or pairing with duck, salmon and mushroom dishes.

Overall rating: 4.5 / 5 from 2 reviews.

Reviews

Solid Pinot

"Black cherry, raspberry coulis, forest floor. Ripe fruits all round. Top end of medium bodied, but decent acid keeps things in check. Solid Pinot, and good value at sale price."

Eileen Hardy Pinot Noir 2022

"Magnificent pinot noir!"
