Cliff Royle grabs the fruit from the cooler climate at Karridale. The result is a wine that retains its fresh linear characteristics but then with further winemaking influence through wild fermentation in oak and tank it strikes at another level of complexity. The aromas have a distinctive light stone fruit, lychee and citrus character. Beautifully weighted palate with texture and excellent fruit concentration.

Campbell Mattinson - The Wine Front

Margaret River sauvignon blanc from the Karridale sub-region. You get fruit flavour, ripe, sweet, smoky and herbal at once, and you get texture, the latter in spades. The intensity of varietal fruit character here is excellent, as is the judicious application of oak, as is the balance of gravelly, almost eucalypt-like inflections. Combine all this with the gorgeousness of the texture, and all those cooling herb notes, and you have a quality wine, in a canter.
