2021 is the first vintage of Nebbiolo following the replanted of this block onto rootstocks. This wine has layers of sweet fruit-spice, redcurrant and all spice notes with a firm tannic finish.

Winemakers Note
A long north-west facing block with shollow grey or brown soils over yellow friable clay.The northerly aspect allows for ideal conditions for this late- ripening variety.
2021 was a textbook vintage. The spring weather was even with rainfall at the right intervals for flowering resulting in excellent fruit set. The growing season from December through to February was also very even with excellent ripening weather. As a result sugar and flavour development occurred slowly and simultaneously. The yields were of an average size and excellent quality with a strong expression of the site.
Fermented in an open foudre, matured over 16 months in old French Oak puncheons.
