This is a wine that year in and year out delivers class and quality at an affordable price. This is right there, showing those blackcurrant and slightly fruit cake characters on the nose. The palate is generous and supple but with that firm thread of fine tannins and oak in support.

While there are plenty of appealing aromatics, plus the mulberries, the spice, the eucalyptus and licorice, the palate is jangly and needs more time to gel. The oak and acidity seem overt and the tannins drying, but time should flesh the palate out to accommodate.
