The vintage was excellent with superb conditions and outstanding quality of fruit harvested. The peak harvest for the region began in early April with Shiraz well underway by the Easter break. Weather conditions throughout the season were mild and stable with short bursts of rainfall, providing a long and steady maturation process beneficial for general vine health and soil moisture profile. This allowed fruit to be picked at optimum levels of ripeness and flavour, with overall yields above the long-term average. 2021 provided and exceptionally strong vintage, with great fruit expression and tannins across the reds, giving rise to wine with excellent cellaring potential.
