Hand-picked fruit from the Lower Derwent Valley; up to 25% whole bunches; gentle hand plunging and occasional pumpovers. Matured 10 months in 30% new, large-format French oak. Stunning Derwent Valley pinot noir of grace and beauty. Varietally exact red and black cherry fruits are the theme, amplified and never distracted by skilful, subtle work with whole bunches and French oak. Great potential. Purity, class and joy!

Lower Derwent fruit. South-facing for a cooler exposition. Bright cherry, crushed musk, orange peel and a dank, underlying growl of forest floor and umami. Delicious mid-weighted pinot noir in a great drinking zone.
A bright, elegant pinot with aromas of raspberries, peppercorns, red cherries, rosemary and red tea. Very fine, silky tannins here. Fragrant and medium-bodied with a lengthy finish.

Busy on Tassie today. Makes a change for me. Ripe red fruit, spicy oak, a bit of mint and new leather. Rich red fruit, spicy oak, a little warmth, some orange zest and powdery tannin, biscuits and generous almost XMAS cake flavour, with a spicy finish of good length. Leaning into full-bodied, and kind of overt, but a good wine all up, though perhaps a little colour-by-numbers in feel.

Charming and fragrant, showing savoury red fruits, citrus rind, damp fennel and clay aromas. Lovely on the palate, silky. Award: Silver - DWWA 2023

The 2020 Estate Pinot Noir is spicy and bright, less complex than the Single Vineyard Pinot Noir, but no less delicious. There are notes of red cherries, strawberries, red apples and a drop of green olive brine. Drink it in the next 7 years, to capture the fruit with primary zeal.

Quite pretty nose, perfumed blue fruits, bacon fat and graphite. Supple on the palate, with sweet silky tannins. Attractive. Award: Bronze - DWWA 2023
