A little lean, but there’s some attractive blackberry, walnut and some earth character. Medium-bodied, firm and tight, but should develop nicely in barrel. Points: 90-91

A little underpowered, some sappy tannins, there is gentle blueberry and raspberry fruit here, a bit subdued at this point but with real charm. An early-drinking Pomerol - good to find a few of these in any vintage.

The 2020 Clos Grangeneuve is a soft, fruity Pomerol that will offer a good bit of early appeal. Sweet red berry fruit, blood orange, mint and spice all open in the glass. The 2020 is not especially complex, but it offers a good bit of immediacy. The only thing it is missing is a bit of mid-palate depth. Points: 87-89

The medium-bodied palate is elegantly styled and refreshing, delivering crunchy red and black fruits with compelling savory accents and a soft texture, finishing with a lively lift.
