A big wine with lots of character. Vivid aromas of leather, sun-baked earth and wild sage, with juicy, deep flavors of roasted cherries, grilled plums and raspberries. The wine has great structure for further aging, too. Best from 2027.

These Mura Mura wines are very delicious, yet so polished and modern. Not my vibe, but they’re very good all the same. Raspberry, cinnamon biscuit, sage and spice, plenty of fruit weight here, with a stony feel, albeit with a coverlet of all that baking spice oak. Polished, juicy, a layer of sweet spiced oak, smudgy fruit and oak tannin, mint and perfume on a finish that’s all juicy cherry, strawberry and tobacco. It’s a little cuvee Americano, but the fruit more or less carries the day.

Falstaff

Bright, brightening ruby red. Some raspberry and cherry on the nose, with slightly smoky nuances, shy overall. Juicy and delicately mellow on the palate, with powerful, tightly woven tannins, harmonious overall, but needs time.

Faset is an MGA located behind Barbaresco, a vast amphitheatre that overlooks the Tanaro River. The soil is mostly characterised by a great presence of sand compared to the surrounding marls. The estate follows the natural flair of the hill to produce an extremely easy to drink Barbaresco, full of rich cherry and strawberry fruit. Soft, supple, balanced and ripe.
