Confected black berries on the nose, along with licorice. the palate is confected, nice and ripe black and blue fruits, the oak is well integrated and give a support to the fruit with subtle cedar and cinnamon, fuller bodied with long finish.
Nice juicy Shiraz. Without being over the top. Dusty tannin, good oak integration

Tasting Notes
The depth of colour alludes to the overall intensity and pedigree of this Shiraz. On the nose there is spice and a rich dark fruit purity with a lashing of toasty oak influence. Intense blackberry and dark cherry fruit flavour dominate the mid palate with a hint of white pepper and spice. The complexing oak influence melds elegantly with the wines dark fruit and dark chocolate concentration. Beautifully balanced with tremendous length of flavour, this Shiraz speaks of the provenance of the old vines at the Ingoldby Vineyard.
Winemakers Note
Our single vineyard Inc Shiraz is crafted from the 70-year-old vines at our home on the Ingoldby vineyard to produce this classic McLaren Vale Shiraz of immense character and intensity. It is blended from a selection of only the finest barrels from our McLaren Flat vineyard. The incredibly consistent fruit with sound concentration is supported by open fermentation with extended skin contact. The dark fruit spectrum is supported seamlessly by maturation in French and American oak (25% new) for an 18-month period.
