2017 Geoff Merrill Jacko's Shiraz

Fresh herbs, perfume and gamey notes. Black pepper, red berries and black cherry notes lift with time in the glass.The palate begins with round, fruity and savoury characters, then moves towards a zesty and vibrant wild raspberry and cranberry finish. A very complex wine with cool season characters that will grow and develop into a stunning mature Shiraz.

Above average winter rainfall, which helped to set up early growth of the vines. Cooler air and soil temperatures during Spring slowed down vine development delaying harvest dates. Crop yields were good as was the quality for both whites and reds, both looking outstanding with excellent flavour.
