Engaging and complex, the bouquet shows dark cherry, raspberry, tar, charcuterie and hazelnut characters. It is superbly concentrated and powerful on the palate, while remaining graceful and poised, leading to a flatteringly long finish backed by fine, chalky tannins. From the Wairau Valley district. Bob Campbell MW - The Real Review
Rich, fleshy pinot noir, with appealing fruit sweetness and luscious plum, ripe cherry and nutty oak flavours. The wine seems softer, silkier and more accessible than I remember it. It will no doubt age well, but can be savoured without guilt right now.

The 2017 Fromm Vineyard Pinot Noir boasts a delicate nose of roseate florals, strawberries and orange zest. Medium-bodied, it's silky and intense, with a sinewy backbone of acidity and a long, elegant finish. It looks to be one of the star Pinots of the vintage.
This has a deeply spicy nose with toasty oak that’s wrapped around vibrantly spicy red cherries, strawberries and pomegranate. The palate has attractively punchy and juicy fruit flesh with a sleek, fine run of tannin that holds plenty of detail and freshness on a long, red-cherry finish.

Entry level Pinot Noir from Fromm. It’s a blend of vineyards – Quarters, Churton, Yarrum and Fromm.
Smoky, spent campfire thing, spicy, then into juicy cherry, damp earth and spice. Direct, cherry, dried herb and a slight bitter tamarillo character, clean acidity, attractive almost gravelly tannin, good finish, albeit closing with a gustatory chicory bitterness. Like it. Personality.

Made using organically grown fruit from five vineyards in the Southern Valleys, the 2017 Pinot Noir (this replaces the La Strada bottling) features black cherries and black raspberries on the nose. It's medium-bodied but a bit chunky and firm, with notes of dried spices and cola and a dry, savory finish. Give it another year to round into form, then drink it through 2026.
