Tasting notes
Very attractive and intensely deep in appearance, tinged with bright, ruby-red highlights.
Intense aromas of ripe, fresh fruit develop on the nose, accompanied by notes of spice and sandalwood.Super silky from the outset, the wine rapidly gains in body, and is appealingly generous and concentrated on the palate.
Delicious and refreshing mouthfeel, where flavours of blackcurrant, black cherries and hints of sweet spice intermingle and coat the remarkably delicate, tannic structure. Overall, this perfectly balanced wine gradually unfurls in a noticeably lengthy finish, revealing surprisingly persistent aromas.

For Essence de DOURTHE, each vine is considered as a specific entity, benefiting from tailored management techniques, receiving no less than fitty different actions before the harvest, to produce the finest quality grapes possible. Rapidly after harvesting, there were absolutely no doubt that our cellars produced once again one of these rare gems, that ageing and time would reveal…
