Roger Voss - Wine Enthusiast
With great freshness, this is an attractive, fruity wine with final ripe berry flavors that are delicately leavened and given weight by tannins. There is already a drinkable balance from the fruit, although the wine needs more time to be in harmony. Drink from 2018.

90–92. Barrel Sample. This is a lovely, ripe wine with a soft core. Bright acidity, smoky fragrance and sultry black currant all contribute to its success.

Steven Spurrier - Decanter
Fine purple-red, fragrant nose, expressive and even exuberant, a Pauillac with charm and good tannins for the future.

James Suckling
A fresh and delicious red with blueberry, spice and chocolate. Medium body, fine tannins and a clean finish. A beauty.
Wine Spectator
Has a taut feel, with focused red currant, blood orange and Campari notes streaking along, lined with a pronounced iron edge. Lightly cedary, with good cut through the finish.
James Suckling
A pleasant, fruity wine with hints of hazelnut and currant character. Medium body, firm tannins and a clean finish that's a little light. 59% cabernet sauvignon, 28% merlot, 12% cabernet franc and 1% petit verdot.

Winemakers Notes
Château d'Armailhac, the new era
Grand Cru Classé close to Château Mouton Rothschild, Château d'Armailhac has 77 hectares of vines spread over three sections, revealing the typical diversity of the Pauillac appellation. A new era opened in 2021 for Château d'Armailhac. This year was marked by the arrival of Lucie Lauilhé, the new director of the estate, but also by the inauguration of the new vat room and the new cellar. These changes will bring greater precision to each stage of the production of this great wine, giving it a whole new dimension.
