From the beginning... Since its foundation in 1797, Kreglinger Wine Estates has been delicately crafting fine wine, spreading its vines from Antwerp to Tasmania. While our heritage's suave and sophisticated European influences remain, our Tasmanian portfolio of wines proudly captures the unique qualities of the land we now call home.
From our vineyards in the pristine island state of Northern Tasmania, Kreglinger has dedicated itself to being at the forefront of the Australian wine industry. The legacy of George and Christian Kreglinger began in Belgium, two brothers who dared to dream and started a family company that still holds trade registration number one in Antwerp.
In 1893, the family's group of companies extended to Australia, establishing Kreglinger Australia. In 2000, Kreglinger Australia diversified into wine production with the acquisition of the majority ownership of Pipers Brook Vineyard. Pipers Brook Vineyard Established in 1974 and nestled in the heart of Tasmanian wine country, Pipers Brook Vineyard in the beautiful Tamar Valley is one of the pioneering vineyards of the Tasmanian wine industry.
We are proudly Tasmanian owned and we craft a wine that reflects the incredible natural beauty of our place, the talent and care of our people and our undeniable passion. Tasmania is renowned for its pristine and rugged wilderness. Here in Pipers River on sites that were sought out for terroir similar to some of the most premium wine regions in France, we continue to craft the estate-grown and bottled Pipers Brook label and Kreglinger Sparkling wines, as well as the iconic Ninth Island range.
We have also recently released the newest addition to our family; Pipers Tasmania - a modern twist on the traditions of Pipers Brook Vineyard. We are also proud to present our single site New Certan Pinot Noir, grown in an urban vineyard in Launceston boasting over 60 clones of Pinot Noir from around the world. From 1974 to the present day, the story of our cool climate and rich history can be found in our current vintages
