Kim Crawford

It was in 1996 that Kim Crawford Wines was founded in a small home in Auckland. Due to the quality of his wines, and their powerful, aromatic profile, things took off pretty quickly. Within four years, the company moved into a state-of-the-art winery in Marlborough and began acquiring vineyards to cultivate.

Kim eventually left the winery in 2008, but not before handing over the mantle to young gun winemaker, Anthony Walkenhorst, who heads up the team, and retains Kim's original vision of creating fresh and vibrant wines that deliver bags of flavour.

Today, Kim Crawford Wines has grown and expanded to own three wineries, as well as a large vineyard holding. But Anthony's focus is still on handling the fruit with respect, and carefully selecting each separate batch to make sure that the classic Kim Crawford quality is kept at a consistent level, year after year.
