Steeped in history, Clos de Caille was founded in the 12th century by the Cistercian monks of the Thoronet Abbey, who also established the renowned Abbey of Cîteaux in Burgundy. For centuries, this land has been solely dedicated to the cultivation of vines, a tradition that continues to this day.
In 2021, the Mariotti family took the reins of Clos de Caille, injecting new energy and passion into this historic estate. With unwavering dedication, they have worked tirelessly to showcase the generosity of this unique terroir.
The terroir of Clos de Caille is truly exceptional. Its clay-limestone soils, intertwined with a vein of limestone, combined with a Mediterranean microclimate, create the perfect environment for producing outstanding wines.
