Chateau Sénéjac

Nestled within the picturesque landscape of the Haut Médoc, overlooking the Jalle de l'Aygue Longue, lies the historic Château Sénéjac. With a rich history dating back to the 16th century, this esteemed estate has been passed down through generations, each leaving their own unique mark on the land. The first known owner, Nicolas de Bloys, planted the estate's first vines with his wife Jeanne Fleix. However, it was Joseph-Ignace de Chatard, a councilor in the Bordeaux Parliament, who truly elevated Château Sénéjac to its prestigious status when he purchased it in the 18th century. Under his ownership, the estate flourished with the construction of new buildings and the cultivation of exquisite wines. Today, the legacy of Château Sénéjac lives on through our commitment to preserving the art of viticulture. Our values of excellence, respect for the terroir, and love of wine are deeply ingrained in every aspect of our work. From the careful hand-harvesting of our grapes to the meticulous crafting of our wines, every gesture and every harvest tells a story of tradition, time, and passion. But our dedication to preserving this heritage does not stop with us. We believe in passing on this legacy to future generations, inspiring them with our values and cultivating a spirit of transmission throughout the seasons. For at Château Sénéjac, the story of our wines is not just about the past, but also about the future.
