Château Laroque

Château Laroque, located in the heart of the prestigious Saint-Émilion appellation in Bordeaux, has a history dating back to the 12th century. Nestled among rolling hills and surrounded by lush vineyards, this historic estate has been producing exceptional wines for centuries. The terroir of Château Laroque is truly unique, with a diverse soil composition that includes limestone, clay, and sand. This, coupled with the ideal climate and meticulous farming practices, allows for the production of wines that are both powerful and elegant. The estate is dedicated to the cultivation of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, each carefully selected and hand-picked at their optimal ripeness. The grapes are then fermented in traditional cement vats before being aged in French oak barrels, resulting in wines that are rich, complex, and full of character. Château Laroque's flagship wine, the Grand Vin, is a blend of all three grape varieties, showcasing the best of what the estate has to offer. It is a wine of great depth and structure, with notes of dark berries, spice, and a touch of earthiness. The second wine, Les Tours de Laroque, is also a blend but with a higher proportion of Merlot, giving it a softer and more approachable character. Whether enjoyed in its youth or after years of aging, Château Laroque wines are a true reflection of the estate's commitment to excellence and its rich history. Each sip is an invitation to savor the beauty and complexity of this exceptional terroir.
