When Clément Fayat acquired the property, he undertook the complete restructuring of the vineyard driven by a passion for wine. Its grape varieties (composed of more than 70% Merlot) make Château Clément Pichon an exception in the Médoc. Today, Jean-Claude and Laurent Fayat are taking over from their father who passed on his passion and curiosity for wine and viticulture to them. In 2012, Jean-Claude Fayat officially took over management of the vineyards, which include three prestigious properties including Château La Dominique, a Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Emilion, and Château Fayat in Pomerol.
