The June 2024 bottling (the bottling information is printed in small print on the back label) of the NV Poley Fino del Lagar en Rama Solera 10 Años is an unfortified Fino. Like the other wines, it is from Moriles, produced with Pedro Ximénez grapes that achieved 14.5% alcohol after an average of 10 years under flor. It's pale, clean and aromatic, with unusual finesse, with notes of esparto grass, chalky and nutty, pungent and with faint bitterness. It's presented in half-liter bottles. 14,500 bottles were produced.

Names have changed and all labels are new; they are all named Poley and have a reference to the number of average years the wines have spent in the solera, like the NV Poley Fino del Lagar en Rama Solera 10 Años. It's an unfortified Fino with 14.5% alcohol and 10 years of average age. It's yeasty, nutty, pungent and moderately bitter, quite easy to drink. All Poley wines now come in 500-milliliter bottles. There's no clear indication of saca or bottling date. 14,000 bottles were produced.

The NV Electrico del Lagar Fino is aged, unfortified, under flor for an average of 10 years in the solera created 60 years ago before being bottled into half liter bottles. It is called Electrico, and it used to come in a light bulb-shaped bottle, but sadly not anymore, all of it a little bit of a joke because the original winery is housed in an old electricity plant, but also because of the liveliness of the wine in the mouth, and an expression used in Cordoba to ask for a wine referring to it as an electric shock. It doesn’t have as much electricity as vintage Madeira but it has a lively palate. Bright, pale yellow-colored, I cannot really tell the grape here, which is Pedro Ximenez, with a slightly blurry nose of yeasty, spicy with dried herbs and grass (esparto) and green olives. It has a wide, full but lively palate with dry, pungent saline flavors and a bitter finish. Drink 2013-2014. This is a peculiar winery, a little eccentric and unusual, a family affair created in 1922 although their roots can be traced back to the 19th century. The core of the winery is located inside an old electricity plant in Aguilar de la Frontera, south of Cordoba, in the heart of the Montilla-Moriles appellation and directed by collector, inventor and entrepreneur Antonio Sanchez. They sell 650(more...)

The May 2025 bottling (the bottling information is printed in small print on the back label) of the NV Poley Fino del Lagar en Rama Solera 10 Años is an unfortified Fino. Like the other wines, it is from Moriles, produced with Pedro Ximénez grapes that achieved 15% alcohol and a pH of 3.19 after an average of 10 years under flor. It's pale, clean and aromatic, with unusual finesse, with notes of esparto grass, chalky and nutty, pungent and with faint bitterness. Drink it young for more pungent flavors or wait for it for a more mellow expression of the wine. It's presented in half-liter bottles. 12,500 bottles produced.

This has a dusty, slightly earthy character with raw almonds, citrus peel and wet stones. It’s dry and yeasty with a creamy texture and a moderate, chalky finish. Glass stopper.
