Tasting Notes

The Redbank Emily Brut Cuvee NV from King Valley is a luxurious sparkling wine. It is made from a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, harvested and carefully blended together. On the nose, this sparkling wine reveals aromas of white flowers, apples and citrus fruits. The lively and refreshing palate offers flavors of lemons, limes, grapefruit and a hint of toast. The color is a luminous straw-yellow with a fine mousse of tiny bubbles. On the finish, the lively acidity and delicate sweetness of the wine linger. An excellent choice for a special occasion.

Product Highlights

In something of a homecoming, Yalumba’s Hill Smith family sold the Redbank vineyard and brand in late 2019 to three families with longstanding vineyard and winery involvement in north-eastern Victoria. The current release of Emily is the last that was made by the Yalumba team. The crisp, clean purity and fresh, vibrant, youthful verve that won this wine its place as my Sparkling Wine of the Year under $20 in 2018, remains alive and well in the 2019 base release." - Tyson Stelzer Australian Sparkling report 2020.
