Richard Mayson - Decanter
This is a supremely good Reserve Ruby Port. It is never the cheapest in the category but consistently outperforms. Aged for two years in wood before being bottled, Six Grapes is a bright, vigorous, full-bodied Port that combines ripe, up-front fruit with purity and finesse. Glorious winter drinking.

Very dark, deep red colour with a subtle purple rim. Intense fruit, blackberry, black cherry, plum, with savoury hints. Beautifully full-bodied on the palate with a distinctive sweetness, clings to the palate. Again, a beautiful harmony of fruit and savouriness notes. Tannins provide a certain freshness to the berry-fruited finish.
2015 - Decanter World Wine Awards
A deep, velvety nose of plush black fruit, spice and herbs. Red and black berried fruit woven through with pepper and celery salt. A more compact crunchy fruit core on the palate with integrated tannins. Incredibly attractive.

Sweet ruby with the concentrated fragrance of violets and crème de cassis. Flavours are powerful and well extracted, with intense ripe berries throughout, the fine grained spicy tannins hold on for an excellent long finish.
